Range and habitat:
The Gold-breasted starling is found in eastern Africa, including Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya. They live in dry desert and thornbush areas.

Natural diet:
This birds' diet consists almost entirely of insects and fruits.

Size / weight range:
Gold-breasted starlings grow to be 12 to 15 inches long and can weigh 45-65 grams (or 1.6-2.3 ounces).

Interesting Fact:
The unique, iridescent plumage of this bird makes it easy to spot.
Not threatened; least concern
