Range and habitat: The Guira cuckoo lives in open and semi-open
forests in eastern and southern Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and
northeastern Argentina.
Natural diet: These birds feed on large arthropods, small birds,
eggs, nesting baby birds, frogs and small mammals.
Size / weight range: The Guira cuckoo grows to be approximately
13 inches long.
Interesting Fact: Guira cuckoos are highly social birds and
are often spotted in groups that can include as many as 18 or more members.
The Guira cuckoo is not endangered and is considered least concern.
