Downloading a video file from the Toledo Zoo web site:

The Toledo Zoo is proud to offer our fact pages' videos for free use by our web visitors. We have made each clip available in Windows Media Video format (wmv) and as Quicktime files (mov), which are two popular media formats used by Windows and Macintosh users. Both formats are offered as compressed files that will display at dimensions of 320 x 240 pixels, and each clip is 30 seconds in length. Once you have downloaded the file, it can be used in PowerPoint presentations and other multimedia applications for school projects or just for fun! All videos are branded with the Toledo Zoo logo in the lower left corner.

 

Downloading Windows Media Videos

To view a wmv file, you need Windows Media Player installed on your computer. If you do not have Windows Media Player, click here to download it from the Microsoft web site

Windows users with Internet Explorer:
On the fact page you are viewing, right click on the link that says "Download video as a Windows Media Video (wmv)". In the pop-up menu, select the option that says "Save target As..." then a standard browsing window should appear. Select the folder where you want to save the file and the download will begin. Download time varies depending on your Internet connection.

Mac users:
On the fact page you are viewing, control + click on the link that says "Download video as a Windows Media Video (wmv)". In the pop-up menu, select the option that says "Save Link As..." then a standard browsing window should appear. Select the folder where you want to save the file and the download will begin. Downloading Quicktime Videos

To view a Quicktime movie, you need Quicktime installed on your computer. If you do not have Quciktime, click here to download it from the Apple web site
