Range and habitat: Was once one of the most widely distributed mammals in the world and in North America and Eurasia.
Now large populations found in Canada, Alaska.
Natural diet: Deer, elk, small mammals.
Size / weight range: 26 to 38 inches at the shoulder. Can weigh between
45 and 110 pounds.
Interesting Facts: Wolves are the largest wild canid.
Wolves live in packs.
Only the pack's dominant male and female breed.
