Range and habitat:
Found in savannas, areas of short grass with medium, or dense stands of bush and a permanent water supply. Located in central Kenya, Rwanda to northern Natal, west to Namibia and southern Angola.

Natural diet:
Both grazers and browsers, they eat short grass, flowers, fruit and foliage of of bushes and trees, also the seed pods of shrubs. Impala adjust their diets according to what is available.

Size / weight range:
Shoulder height is between 34 and 38 inches.
Impalas can weigh between 143 and 154 pounds

Interesting Facts:
Only males have horns.
A high-pitched “sneezing snort” signals alarm.
