Details: Come out to Nature’s Neighborhood for our Fall Science Day!
Science Fun with a Fall Theme!
Sunday, October 5 in Nature’s Neighborhood
Our Science Day series invites you to experience our fun, hands-on science activities that engage kids in a wide range of scientific realms.
When summer has come to an end, the animals and plants around us begin their preparation for winter. Leaves change color and eventually fall to the ground – why? Animals have a few different strategies for surviving the winter months – what are they? Is it possible to “age” a tree? Do pumpkins float or sink?
Join us for Fall Science Day to explore these questions and more fall science fun! We also will have a few fun science demonstrations and animal encounters throughout the day in Nature’s Neighborhood.
Activity Zones 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Slime Science Station
• “Nature in the Fall” activities
• Survival Strategy Cornhole
• Meet some of our education animals
• And much more!
Stop by and see our visiting friends from Imagination Station too!
They will be doing a special Extreme Science Demo at 2:30 p.m. in Nature’s Neighborhood. This presentation allows visitors to explore fundamental concepts with an exciting, extreme twist! Observe water defy gravity, be amazed as metal sparks and be awed by the incredible abilities of a liquid -320 degrees Fahrenheit.
