Treasure Quest: The Search for Nature’s Jewels
The Toledo Zoo’s year-long Homeschool program brings the interactive fun of the Zoo to your child!  Individual lessons for each grade level, ages 5 to 12, are prepared to provide a unique way to explore conservation issues, experience live animals up close, express current information, and engage students in group activities.  Each participant will be given a “Treasure Map” to follow each month and it will take them to faraway places on a quest for knowledge about animals and their homes.  Come join us on this great treasure hunt!

Program Schedule:
The times are as follows (Wednesdays and Fridays):
Ages 5-6 yrs: 10:30-11:30 a.m. (children that will be 5 yrs old by the first class in September can attend)
Ages 7-9 yrs: 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.
Ages 10-12 yrs: 12:15 - 1:30 p.m.

2011 – 2012 Program:
Please note: all 2012 programs are currently full.
The Gobi Desert: January 11 or 13
The Australia Reefs: February 8 or10
The Rainforests of South America: March 14 or 16
Mystery Island: April 11 or 13
Toledo, Ohio – Project Fair 2012: May 11

Prices:
Members: $10.00 per class or $70.00 for the whole year.
Non-members: $15.00 per class or $110.00 for the whole year.
Program fees do not include admission to The Toledo Zoo, which must be paid separately at the Zoo's main entrance.

The Toledo Zoo reserves the right to cancel class because of low enrollment. Refunds will be issued only in emergencies and only if notification is given before the class has been held.

Program Guidelines:

• A minimum of 10 students for each class is required. The Toledo Zoo reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment. We will contact you one week prior to class if it is cancelled.
• Class size is limited to 20 students, and registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Classes begin promptly at their scheduled times. Please respect this as it is extremely difficult to locate your child’s class on grounds or on a tour once the class has begun. Please make sure you leave enough time to travel to the Zoo and walk to your classroom. There will be no late admittance.
• Registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
