Now Enrolling for Zoo Preschool!
The Preschool Program runs September through May
We currently have openings in our programs for three- and four-year-olds. Applications for the 2011 – 2012 school year are still being accepted, but hurry -- space is limited and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Licensing
The Toledo Zoo Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio, Department of Job and Family Services

Hours of Operation
Preschool classes begin September 7th (four year olds) and September 8th (three year olds).
Age 4: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Age 3: Tuesday, Friday
Morning Class: 9:00 – 11:30
Afternoon Class: 12:30 – 3:00

Philosophy
We provide your child with a unique, nature and animal based curriculum that blends traditional readiness learning with preschool age appropriate activities.

We believe that children learn best through play and through activities that use all of their senses: taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing.

We ensure that each week includes opportunities for nature observation, guided play time, fine and gross-motor skill development, story time, outdoor exploration and animal discoveries.

Staff/Ratio
Our teachers are fully certified. Two teachers supervise each class at all times.
Maximum class size is 12 students (3’s) 14 students (4’s)
Classes are filled on a first come first served basis. After class sizes are reached, we will accept applications on a waiting list.

Tuition for 2011-2012
$100.00 Nonrefundable registration fee must accompany each application.

3 Day Program - $195.00 a month (zoo members) *
2 Day Program - $140.00 a month (zoo members) *

*Add $60.00 a month for non-zoo members
