Kids stuck at home over the winter break? Nothing to do?
We can help!
During the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve, the Toledo Zoo will be offering a fun new program -- Winter Camps! Children ages 5 to 14 can explore a Zoo topic and interact with live animals. We've got terrific programs that are sure to engage children's interests, enrich their winter break, and expand their science awareness—all while they're having fun! We also offer before camp care from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM and after camp care from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Only available for children enrolled in Winter Camp programs).

Winter Camp Programs

Ages 5 - 10:

Winter Zoo Clue
Follow tracks, scat and other Zoo clues to solve a wild winter mystery
Tuesday, December 27, 9AM - 3PM

Winter Works of Art
Put on your creative cap and go "winter wild" with your art skills -- using our animals for inspiration.
Wednesday, December 28, 9AM - 3PM

Warm Up the Winter
Take off your coat, grab your luau gear and warm up during our tropical trek!
Thursday, December 29, 9AM - 3PM

Ages 11 - 14:

Junior Zookeeper for a Day
Learn what it takes to be a zookeepeer while working with a Nature's Neighborhood staff member.
Tuesday, December 27, 9AM - 3PM
Wednesday, December 28, 9AM - 3PM
Thursday, December 29, 9AM - 3PM

*Space is limited and advanced registration is required, so enroll today!

Camp Enrollment Fees:

Camps for ages 5-10
$35 each day ($30 for Toledo Zoo members)*

Junior Zookeeper for a Day for ages 11-14
$40 each day ($35 for Toledo Zoo members)*

*A $5 discount will be applied to each additional camp you purchase beyond your first camp (single child in multiple camps or multiple children)

Before camp care, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
$5 per child, per date.

After camp care, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
$5 per child, per date.

Camp Registration information:

A confirmation will be mailed or emailed to each registrant.
Due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment, a camp/class may be canceled at the discrection of the Zoo. Should this happen, we will contact you to schedule another camp/class or make arrangements for a refund.
Refunds will be issued only if the program is filled, cancelled or if there is an emergency, and will be issued only if we are notified a week before the camp/class' start date.
LATE POLICY: It is important that your child is dropped off and picked up on time. There will be a late drop off and pick up charge of $15 for every 15 minutes that you are late dropping off or picking up your child, unless the teacher has been notified under special circumstances.
