Take a Ride on the Wild Side
The world's first and only African Animal Carousel, created by Carousel Works in Mansfield, Ohio, is an exciting component of the Zoo's new Africa! exhibit. The carousel features 42 hand-carved, hand-painted figures and two ornate chariots. In all, 24 African animal species grace the new carousel, including gorillas, leopards, ostriches, mandrills and more! Also, replicas of 16 meticulously detailed paintings by renowned wildlife artist Harold Roe adorn the carousel.

Sponsor a Carousel Animal
As a member of our Zoo family, we want to give you a final opportunity to be a part of the excitement by sponsoring one of the magnificent animals featured on this unique carousel. However, with only 10 animals left, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will not be available for long. With a donation of $5,000 (payable in two installments) you can sponsor such animals as a hyena, caracal wild cat, ostrich, stork, or mandrill.
