3
Doors Down
with special guest Finger Eleven
May 23 at 7:00pm
Reserved Seat Tickets: $45 / $32.50
Hailing
from a small town in Mississippi, 3 Doors Down forged a
major-label contract using popular live shows and the reputation
of a single song. Their hit, "Kryptonite," generated
unprecedented buzz at a local radio station helping to make
them hometown favorites and enabling them to draw relatively
large crowds to their live shows, which consequently, helped
them extend their range beyond Mississippi and the deep
south to internationally famous clubs like New York's CBGB's.
The CBGB's shows brought them to the attention of Republic
Records, a subsidiary of Universal, which issued the band's
major-label debut, The Better Life, in early 2000. The band’s
sophomore effort, Away From the Sun, arrived in November
2002 - it debuted at number eight on the Billboard Top 200
and soon went gold. 3 Doors Down returned with their next
full-length LP, Seventeen Days, in early 2005. It debuted
at number one on the Billboard 200, and went platinum in
its first week of release.

Stevie
Nicks
June 25 at 7:30pm
Reserved Seat Tickets: $99.50 / $75 / $49.50
Famed
for her mystical chanteuse image, singer/songwriter Stevie
Nicks enjoyed phenomenal success not only as a solo artist
but also as a key member of Fleetwood Mac. Major hit singles
like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon" made Nicks
a focal point of Fleetwood Mac, and in 1981 she took time
off from the group to record her solo debut, Bella Donna,
which hit Number One on the strength of the Top 20 hits
"Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," "Leather
and Lace" and "Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the
White Winged Dove)." After a return to Fleetwood Mac
for the 1982 album Mirage, Nicks released her second solo
effort, The Wild Heart, highlighted by the Top Five smash
"Stand Back."
In 1998 Stevie Nicks, along with her Fleetwood Mac bandmates,
was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the same
year that her three-disc Enchanted box set landed in stores.
Nicks returned to the studio in 2001 with friends Macy Gray,
Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, and Dixie Chick Natalie Maines
for the solo album Trouble in Shangri-La, and again in 2003
for the Fleetwood Mac reunion album Say You Will. Reprise
released the CD/DVD Crystal Visions: The Very Best of Stevie
Nicks in 2007.

Weird
Al Yankovic
July 6 at 7:30pm
Reserved Seat Tickets: $49.50 / $39.50 / $29.50
The
foremost song parodist of the MTV era, two-time Grammy winning
performing artist, Weird Al Yankovic, carried the torch of
musical humor more proudly and more successfully than any
performer since Allan Sherman. In the world of novelty records
- a genre noted for its extensive back catalog of flashes-in-the-pan
and one-hit wonders - Yankovic was king, scoring smash after
smash over the course of an enduring career which found him
topically mocking everything from new wave to gangsta rap.
Ultimately,
much of Yankovic's success resulted from his skilled use of
music video, a medium not available in the era of Spike Jones
or Allan Sherman; suddenly, not only could records themselves
serve as parody fodder, but their video clips were ripe for
satire as well. Additionally, MTV firmly established Yankovic's
public persona; sporting garish Hawaiian shirts, frizzy hair,
and an arsenal of goofy mannerisms, he cut a distinctly bizarre
figure which he consistently exploited to maximum comic effect.

Earth
Wind & Fire
July 23 at 7:30pm
Reserved Seat Tickets: $55 / $37.50
Earth,
Wind & Fire were one of the most musically accomplished,
critically acclaimed, and commercially popular funk bands
of the '70s. Conceived by drummer, bandleader, songwriter,
kalimba player, and occasional vocalist Maurice White, Earth
Wind & Fire's all-encompassing musical vision used funk
as its foundation, but also incorporated jazz, smooth soul,
gospel, pop, rock & roll, psychedelia, blues, folk, African
music, and, later on, disco.
More
than just versatility for its own sake, Earth Wind & Fire's
eclecticism was part of a broader concept informed by a cosmic,
mystical spirituality and an uplifting positivity the likes
of which hadn't been seen since the early days of Sly &
the Family Stone. Tying it all together was the accomplished
songwriting of Maurice White, whose intricate, unpredictable
arrangements and firm grasp of hooks and structure made Earth
Wind & Fire one of the tightest bands in funk when they
wanted to be. Not everything they tried worked, but at their
best, Earth, Wind & Fire seemingly took all that came
before them and wrapped it up into one dizzying, spectacular
package.
