Senior Discovery Days

Seniors receive FREE admission each Tuesday, plus a FREE coffee and mini-muffin each weekday in our Timberline Bakery® (located in the North Star Gift Shop®). Watch for special activities on Tuesdays through September & October!

Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk

Join the Alzheimer's Association for their annual walk at the Zoo. For more information or to sign up, click here.

September 6
Butterfly and Bug Festival

Focused on increasing environmental awareness about butterflies, bugs and their habitats, this day of fun will feature a number of hands-on crafts and activities.

September 7
Grandparent's Day

FREE admission for all grandparents along with other terrific activities. Please check back for more information.

September 7
Day of Honor

A day dedicated to those individuals who keep us safe and secure. All military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and EMTs receive FREE admission by showing a professional ID or badge.

September 12
Hippo Classic Golf Outing

Sure to be the "wildest" outing on town, this one-of-a-kind tournament begins with lunch, followed by a shotgun start at two of the area's finest country clubs. A 19th Hole Party will be held in the evening. Space is limited and reservations are required. Please check back for more information!

September 13
The Big Feed

Back by popular demand! Watch animals enjoy one of their daily meals and learn how the animals receive enrichment as expert Zoo interpreters describe the action. Please check back for a schedule of events!

Antique Car Show

The perfect opportunity to see Model A and Model T cars up-close and talk with the people who own them.

September 26
Zoo Brew Fest

Spend a fun-filled night sampling a variety of domestic and imported beers, snacking on tasty appetizers and enjoying live music in the Zoo's Nairobi Pavilion. Reservations are required and tickets must be purchased in advance. Please check back for more information.

October 18
Halloween Vineyard Adventure

Sample fine wines and tasty hors d'oeuvres, this time with a spooky twist. Get decked out in your Halloween regalia and join the fun! Please check back for ticket prices and reservation information.

October 23-24
Little Boo at the Zoo

A Halloween celebration for your little ones who are not yet in school and may be too young to enjoy Pumpkin Path. Trick-or-treating and plenty of hands-on activities. There is an additional charge for all little ghosts and goblins that participate. Please check back for more information.

October 25-26
Pumpkin Path

This safe alternative to trick-or-treating offers candy stations, Halloween crafts and activities, live magic shows and much more. There is a charge for all visitors - members & non-members - who trick-or-treat. Please check back for more information.

November 21
Lights Before Christmas Begins

The family holiday tradition of over one million lights, over 200 lights animals images and the dancing lights! Please check back for more information!

December 31
Noon Year's Eve at the Zoo

Children will love celebrating the New Year at this kid-friendly event featuring all kinds of activities and treats! Please check back for more information.
