5K RACE – 5K WALK – 1K KIDS RUN at The Toledo Zoo

Each year, hundreds of runners run wild as the Dart Frog Dash takes them on an accurately measured 5K tour of the Zoo and its surrounding neighborhoods.

This year’s event will kickoff in the Nairobi Events Pavilion.

Over 900 runners competed in the 2007 Dart Frog Dash, which was held April 22. This 5k walk/run through the Zoo and its surrounding neighborhoods gave people from all around the region a chance to run wild.

The event will begin with a special 1K Kids Run, Following the race, awards are given three deep for the 5K, and all kids registered for the 1K will receive a participant ribbon. All participants pre-registered byMay 5, 2008 will receive a cool Dart Frog Dash t-shirt!

7:00 a.m. - Registration begins
8:15 a.m. - 5 K Walk/Run
9:30 a.m. - 1K Kids Run

Registration Fees

Day of race:
5K race/walk— $12 (no shirts are available)
1K kids race—$2 (no shirts are available)
Zoo members receive $1 off per registrant!

All pre-registered participants are welcome to pick up your race packets on Tuesday, May 13th and Thursday, May 15th at the Visitor Services Office at the Anthony Wayne Trail entry of The Toledo Zoo from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

All net proceeds from the Dart Frog Dash benefit The Toledo Zoo and are used for the continued improvements to exhibits and facilities.
