Here
at the Zoo, we’re all about being good stewards of the environment.
That’s why Earth Day is such a big deal around here. This
year’s Party for the Planet is Saturday,
April 19. Celebrate
Mother Earth and learn how to "go green" through educational
displays and activities. We will once again be accepting items for
recycling (please
see full list below).
In
addition to recycling, we will have other conservation-themed areas
throughout the Zoo including how to make smart and sustainable consumer
choices, climate change, and Year of the Frog/Amphibian Conservation
and awareness.
Various
community organizations will be on-hand and there will be plenty
of activities throughout the day. (Please note: Times, locations
and activities are subject to change)
