Run wild and run free at Senior Discovery Days at
The Toledo Zoo in September and October!

Through October 30, seniors can take advantage of special discounts at the Zoo, including FREE admission every Tuesday and 10% off the purchase of a Grandparents membership. Special activities, including live music, tours and health screenings, will also take place for our friends 60 and over. All activities are FREE!

October 9
Mercy Health Partners will provide free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings as well as other activities from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Main Plaza.

Take a wildlife adventure with The Toledo Zoo’s travel coordinator Sally Albert at 11 a.m. in the African Lodge! A slide presentation will be given along with information about how you can encounter animals in the wild, explore exotic places and experience local cultures on a trip with The Toledo Zoo.

October 16
The Reptile House is next stop on this guided WPA tour. Learn about the history of the building while getting a close up view of the Zoo’s reptile collection. Click here for more information about tours.

October 23
With 2,800 animals representing 320 species, the Aquarium houses one of the most diverse collections of any zoo in the country and is among the largest zoo aquariums in the Midwest. October 30
The final stop on the WPA building tour, the Aviary was renovated in 1998 and the recipient of the AZA’s (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) 1999 Exhibit Award for Excellence. The Aviary’s three walk-through habitats – the African Grasslands, Sonoran Desert and Australian Outback – are an experience all their own. Click here for more information about tours.

Take a Tour!
To reserve a spot for a specific tour, please call 419-385-5721, ext. 2110. Tours will meet in the Main Plaza, near the ZooPAL Board at 10:45 a.m., with all tours beginning at 11:00 a.m. Each tour will last between 30 and 60 minutes.

- Grandparents Day, September 9
     Grandparents receive FREE admission when they visit The Toledo Zoo with      their grandchildren.
- Day of Honor, September 9
     A day dedicated to those who keep us all safe. All military personnel, police      officers, fire fighters and EMTs receive FREE admission by showing a      professional ID or badge. Free admission applies to both active and retired      personnel.
- Antique Car Show, September 22
     Get a close-up view of historic model T's and Model A's and meet some of      the people who own them.

Wheelchairs & Motorized Scooters are available to rent.
Wheelchairs are $5.00
