Toledo Zoo Membership Purchases

Membership Purchase Terms and Conditions

Before we get started with your purchase, here are some tips you should make note of for future reference:

  • At least one cardholder listed on the membership must be present any time the membership is used for admission to the Zoo, or when any guest privileges included with the membership are used.
  • After you finalize your online purchase in our online store, please print your confirmation receipt. Your receipt can be used as your temporary membership card for free parking and admission until your permanent membership card arrives.
  • Zoo members are asked to show a second photo I.D. with their membership card. Please bring your membership card with you to receive free parking and free admission. Zoo memberships are non-transferable, non-refundable, and can not be shared by two households.

  • Memberships ordered online become effective immediately and your email confirmation serves as your temporary card granting you parking and admission to the Zoo; please print your confirmation receipt at the end of your transaction. Permanent card processing time can vary from three days during non-peak times to three weeks during peak and holiday seasons.

  • Please note our peak seasons are April 1st – Labor Day and November 1st - January 31st. Membership processing during these time frames can take up to two weeks, including those purchased online. To ensure you receive your gift membership in time for Christmas, please make your purchase by December 12th. If you are ordering or renewing a membership within these time frames and need your membership materials sooner, please contact the Zoo's Membership Department at 419-724-5915.
  • Beginning January 1, 2014 you will no longer be able to substitute a friend or relative for a named cardholder. Your Toledo Zoo membership has a tremendous value. Each membership is designed for a specified set of individuals – it is not an open-ended admission card. By naming each adult and requiring them to show a second form of identification, we are protecting the integrity of the membership and the benefits associated with it. If you wish to bring a friend or relative to the Zoo, you may want to consider up-grading to our Family Plus or Family Deluxe level which provide guest privileges.
