Anthony
Wayne Trail Parking Lot Renovations: parking
lot is open but certain areas will be closed during renovations
We’re expanding and improving our parking lot, enabling you
to get to the fun faster! The construction will be complete in November
2008.
In
the event that our parking lot is full, overflow parking will be
available in the former Value City parking lot at the corner of
Detroit Ave. and the Anthony Wayne Trail. A free shuttle will bring
you to the Zoo from there. Click

Nature’s
Neighborhood Construction: scheduled to open
June 2009
The Toledo Zoo’s new children’s zoo will offer interactive
fun for the whole family! Construction is underway and will continue
through June 2009—in the meantime there is fencing around
the area. Click here to

Pedestrian
Bridge Painting & Repairs: open during
repair
The bridge that takes visitors from one side of the Zoo to the other
is in the process of being renovated. Visitors will still have access
to the bridge, and the repairs will be completed by July 2008.
Carnivore
Café Renovations: Cafe will
remain open but certain areas closed during repairs
Areas within the Zoo’s wildest eatery may not be accessible
as this historic building undergoes a few renovations. The Carnivore
Café will be once again fully operational by August 2008.
Tiger
Exhibit Renovations: possibility
of limited viewing
Our Amur tigers’ refurbished habitat will be complete in Summer
2008. You may have limited viewing of the tigers ans sloth bears
while this work is completed, as the animals may have access to
quiet indoor holding areas.
Historic
Carousel Renovations: reopening Spring
of 2008
Our 1950s-era carousel is getting a makeover, and these ponies have
never looked better! Come see the results in Spring 2008.
Diversity
of Life Exhibit: Closed
As we prepare for the opening of Amazing
Amphibians and Nature’s
Neighborhood, our new Children’s Zoo, the Diversity of
Life exhibit closed in April 2008. Many of the animals who were
on exhibit there are being relocated to other exhibits throughout
the Zoo.
