Add life to your lessons!
Get the support you need to bring dynamic animal science, environmental awareness and much more to your students. All workshops are designed to highlight inquiry learning, meet proficiency outcomes and provide environmental activities that are ready for you to implement with your students.
New: the Toledo Zoo will come to you for professional development
Is it difficult getting workshops hosted at the Zoo? Our Education staff will come to your school or administration offices and bring activities, live animals and biofacts, information and indicator-aligning ideas to help make your science teaching easier and to help you better meet science standards. Note: arrangements for outreach workshops must be made at least one month in advance. As a limited number may be offered, this is a first-come, first-served program.
Using the Zoo as a Teaching Resource - 1 hour - FREE!
The cost for other topics is $50 per hour.
Days, times and lengths of workshops are arranged to fit with your teaching schedule. Other topics may be planned with sufficient notice and available expertise. Be sure to ask!
