Programs Offered:
This is My Home
Take an adventure through the rainforest, grasslands, Arctic tundra, and the desert! This lesson introduces the flora and fauna of these four distinct ecosystems.
Ohio Animals
Come and explore wildlife that could be found in your backyard. This lesson examines Ohio’s Native animals and the special ways they adapt to the seasons.
Where does our stuff come from?
What do all things need to survive? Where do these things come from? This lesson examines the basic needs of all living things and the importance of conserving natural resources.
Who Needs Plants?
Everyone! Come discover the world of plants, meet an animal whose survival depends on them and learn why we need them.
All lessons are taught by professional educators in the Nature’s Neighborhood Workshop and are aligned with the Ohio Academic Content Standards for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade.
These 30- to 45-minute programs occur in the Nature’s Neighborhood Workshop and can accommodate groups as large as 30 students
Lessons are offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at $35 per session. Programs are offered from September through April each year.
