What a meal! What a view!

Treat yourself to a remarkable experience and a great, full-service meal. You will be seated immediately at your reserved time, your beverages will be served, and your lunch will be served shortly after you arrive. A variety of desserts are available for an additional charge. Valid ID must be presented for beer purchases, and beer can be served and consumed only within the reserved section. During your meal you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of our Africa! exhibit with giraffes, zebra, ostriches, wildebeest, impala and more!

Adult Lunches

$10.25 each ($10.94 with tax) or
$18.25 each ($19.48 with tax) during the 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm seating time featuring a live animal encounter

Grilled Chicken Sandwich Platter
Grilled BBQ chicken breast with melted swiss, lettuce, tomato, and red onioin served on a Kaiser bun with coleslaw, fresh cut fruit, potato chips and a pickle spear.

Hamburger or Cheeseburger Platter
Certified Angus beef patty, grilled medium well, topped with your choice of cheese (American, Swiss, Cheddar or Provolone), lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Served on a Kaiser bun with coleslaw, fresh cut fruit, potato chips and a pickle spear.

Deli Turkey or Ham Sandwich Platter
Sliced turkey or ham, with your choice of cheese (American, Swiss, Cheddar or Provolone), with lettuce, tomato, and red onion on a Kaiser bun, served with cole slaw, fresh cut fruit, potato chips, and a pickle spear.

Kibanda Garden Salad
Mixed greens with cucumber, tomato, red onion and green pepper, topped with a 6 oz. chicken breast, and your choice of dressing (Ranch, French, Italian),
served with a side of fresh cut fruit.

Kid/Senior Lunches

$6.95 each ($7.42 with tax) or
$12.95 each ($13.82 with tax) during the 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm seating time featuring a live animal encounter

Deli turkey or ham sandwich
Half of a deli sandwich with lettuce tomato and your choice of cheese (American, Swiss, Cheddar or Provolone), served with potato chips and fresh cut fruit, and a pickle spear

Hot Dog
100% all beef hot dog with condiments, served with potato chips, fresh cut fruit, and a pickle spear

PB&J
PB&J sandwich with potato chips and fresh cut fruit, and a pickle spear

(Souvenir cups receive free refills while dining and discounted refills at concession stations throughout the Zoo)

Beer (valid ID must be presented during seating before beverages can be served)
Beer selection: Budweiser, Bud Light, Heineken $3.00 each ($3.20 with tax)

Dessert Options

1/2 dozen fresh baked cookies (chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar, or oatmeal raisin) $4.95 ($5.28 with tax)

Lunch Seating Times

*Please note: all reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance
The Picnic on Safari program offers three reserved lunch seating times:

11:15 am to 12 pm

Reserved seating and dining without an animal encounter

Lunch with animal encounter: 12:30 to 1:30 pm

Please note: Children under the age of 5 will not be allowed to touch certain animals due to federal health regulations. When possible we try to select animals for all age ranges, based on information collected from our guests during the reservation process. Children of all ages may touch biofacts presented during the animal encounter. Animals are selected randomly based on availability.
