Envision Extraordinary!

Envision Extraordinary Capital Campaign

Public support accounts for 80% of our capital funding. And thanks to the generous support from the people of Lucas County, we are able to create exhibits and experiences that any organization would be proud to call their own.

But you know that this is not just any institution—this is your Toledo Zoo. And for more than a century, we’ve provided families just like yours with a lifetime full of memories and experiences that are truly extraordinary. We’ve been able to do that because of the partnerships we’ve established with people like you.

We’ve envisioned a Zoo that’s even more engaging, even greener, and sets an even higher standard for animal care. That’s why we’ve initiated the Envision Extraordinary Capital Campaign, which enables us to build upon the solid foundation of public funds and develop amazing new features that ensure that The Toledo Zoo remains a cut above.

You’ve already seen the results in the one-of-a-kind Nature’s Neighborhood children’s zoo. At Tembo Trail, our the state-of-the-art new elephant exhibit, you’re seeing that same commitment to providing up-close animal encounters and educational messaging that inspire visitors to care about animals and conserving the natural world. As we move forward with our brand new Penguin Beach exhibit and renovation of our WPA-era Aquarium, capital campaign donors are once again given an opportunity to be a part of an exhibit that’s like nothing else, anywhere.
