Catered reception at Arctic Encounter
Visit the Arctic during your next special event! Enjoy your specially catered meal surrounded by waterfalls, running streams and artificial rock and ice exhibits—not to mention polar bears and seals! A party in the Arctic has never been so warm.
Maximum Capacity: 50 people seated, 100 for a cocktail reception
Availability: Year-round, available after daily operating hours except during The Lights Before Christmas
African Lodge
Main dining hall at the Africa Lodge
Your guests will be treated to an impressive cultural experience as they take in the beauty of African art in the Lodge. Whether you host a formal dinner or a casual cocktail reception, our catering staff has you covered for an excellent evening. Projection equipment and sound system available.
Maximum Capacity: 125 people seated, 225 for a cocktail reception

Broadway Pavilion
Entrance to the Broadway Pavillion
Overlooking the historic Amphitheater, the beautifully landscaped Broadway Pavilion provides secluded, shaded seating away from the crowds of the park.
Maximum Capacity: 500 people
Availability: April through September during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.
Nairobi Pavilion
Large event at the Nairobi Pavillion
Part of the Zoo’s spectacular Africa! exhibit, the spacious Nairobi Events Pavilion is the perfect place for your large-scale special event.
Maximum Capacity: 900+
Availability: April through December, days and evenings
Presentations and Performances
Indoor Theater
The Museum of Science’s historic theater
Built in the 1930s, this WPA-era theater is unparalleled in craftsmanship and design. Located inside the Museum of Science, the Indoor Theater provides a dramatic backdrop for any performance or group presentation. Projection equipment, lighting system, and sound system available.
Maximum Capacity: 430 people
Availability: January through September, during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.
Amphitheater
The Amphitheater
This outdoor facility has been a Toledo landmark since 1936. Renovated in 1996, the Amphitheater is perfect for an outdoor rally, concert or ceremony.
Maximum Capacity: 4,500 people
Availability: April through September, during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.
