Spend the Night at the Toledo Zoo!

Come spend the night at the zoo at a Snooze or Safari Overnight!  , You’ll see another side of the Zoo, plus share adventures with animals, educators, zookeepers, friends and classmates – all after hours at your Zoo.

These programs last from 6:30 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next day. The program fee also includes parking, a pizza dinner, continental breakfast, and Zoo admission the next day.

Participants must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by adult chaperones (at least 1:10 ratio).
Programs can accommodate up to 50 people. A minimum of 25 participants is required to run.

*Groups with smaller numbers can also be accommodated, and will be matched with other smaller groups.

Adult Safari Overnights

Why let the kids have all the fun? Camp overnight at your Zoo! Dine on the Africa! Overlook, meet some keepers, go behind the scenes with Zoo animals large and small, tent in our Africa! village, and wake up to a sunrise breakfast – then enjoy a day of leisure at the Zoo. $75 per person (participants must be 21 years or older)

Zoo Snooze

What do you do on a Zoo Snooze?• A guided zoo tour, without the crowds
• Meet touchable animals up close and personal
• Make enrichment for some of our Nature’s Neighborhood animals
• Learn about how we take care of animals at the Zoo from one of our very own zookeepers!
• Fun games and activities that meet many scout requirements
• “Hit the straw” in our Nature’s Neighborhood exhibit

When: They are offered most Friday and Saturday nights throughout the year.  Space is currently available in February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October, and November.

• Special Family Nights:  Saturday, October 11

Price: $38 per participant (children and adults)
• The fee includes a $10 non-refundable reservation fee + $28 balance.
• Balance of payment is due one month prior to Snooze date.

Additional Fees:  T-shirts $8 and Patches $0.50

Brand New!  Safari Overnights

What do you do on a Safari Overnight?
• An evening and early morning look at our African exhibits
• Learn about African animals on a guided tour, without crowds
• Meet touchable animals up close and personal
• Talk to a keeper about how he or she takes care of these animals
• Fun games and activities
• Sleep in safari tents (which the Zoo provides) by one of our Africa exhibits
• Receive a ride coupon to ride our Safari Railway or African Animal Carousel
• Receive a patch to declare you have been on an African Safari
• Enjoy an evening fire and listen to African folklore

When:

August:  23,  29, 30
September:  6, 12,  20, 26, 27

• Special Family Night-Saturday, August 9

Price: $50 per participant (children and adults)
• The fee includes a $10 non-refundable reservation fee + $40 balance.
• Balance of payment is due one month prior to Overnight date.

Additional Fees:  T-shirts $8 and Additional Patches $0.50

School Snoozes

Are you looking for a memorable experience for your class? Bring them to a Toledo Zoo Snooze!  Besides being fun, this overnight program covers many science standards about adaptations, food chains and ecosystems. 

What do you do on a School Snooze?
• Participate in games and activities that align with State and Next Generation Standards
• Participate in team-building activities that will make your class stronger
• Take a special night hike to see some animals that come out in the dark
• Meet touchable animals up close and personal
• Make enrichment for some Nature’s Neighborhood animals
• Learn how we take care of animals at the Zoo
• Sleep in Nature’s Neighborhood

When:  Offered throughout the school year on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.  These programs last from 6:30 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next day.  This schedule can be adjusted to meet your school’s needs.

Price: $30 per participant (children) Chaperones are free at a 1/10 student rate.
• The fee includes a $10 non-refundable reservation fee + $20 balance.
• Balance of payment is due one month prior to Snooze date.

Additional Fees:  T-shirts $8 and Patches $0.50
