Go behind the scenes on our Arctic to Africa! tour and discover what makes us one of the nation’s top zoos!
Arctic to Africa!
Your guided tour begins in the Arctic Encounter® where you’ll discover how the Zoo takes care of its seals and polar bears. We’ll start at the front of exhibits to observe the animals and learn fun anecdotes about them, and then head behind-the-scenes to see where the work is done. We’ll visit the dig yard, the VIP viewing area, peek into a keeper area & the North Vet Hospital, and make a quick stop in the water filtration room. We’ll end our adventure by traveling into Africa! by way of the Safari Railway to see giraffes, zebra, and other African animals on exhibit. This walking tour lasts approximately 50 minutes and is information-centered; there are no opportunities to feed or touch animals on the tour.
We also offer Giraffe Feeds for a wild experience!
