How do I apply?

To apply for a position at the Toledo Zoo, pick up an application at our Visitor Services office which is located at the main entrance off Anthony Wayne Trail. The office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply for a position, unless the posted job states differently.

Security

Part time team oriented facility security needed for first shift, 24 hours per week, may include weekends. Responsibilities include security rounds, monitoring of building intrusion/fire detection systems, air/water temperature ranges and water filtration systems. Baker / Cake Decorator

PT Baker needed with 2-5 years of experience. Food sanitation certification preferred. Must have experience decorating (Wedding, Birthday, & Shower cakes) and utilize current decorating trends (fondant, buttercream, airbrush, etc.). Responsibilities include: “From scratch” baking of all baked goods, and good customer service skills. Seasonal part-time positions we are currently hiring for:

Temporary Exhibits Technician

A temporary Exhibits Technician position is available for approximately 7 weeks at 40 hrs per week. This position conceptualizes, designs, engineers, fabricates, installs, and maintains components for Exhibit department projects and construction of displays. Executes the purchase and receipt of all materials and supplies in order to complete projects and maintains proper storage of materials and organization in the workshop. Reports to Exhibits Manager. This position requires advanced training or certification in Industrial Arts, metal and plastic fabrication, Industrial Design, or apprenticeship in machining, and three to five years’ work experience in a similar field. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.

Catering Food Production:
Employees prepare food for a variety of in-house catered events.
Positions: Picnics, Box lunches, Weddings, Dinner Parties

Catering:
Responsible for taking care of the client(s) and running catered events.
