Halloween fun for our tiniest Zoo visitors

Little Boo at the Zoo

Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23

To help us with our green initiatives, please bring a bag, plastic pumpkin, or other container for trick-or-treating

Little Boo is the perfect Halloween party for preschoolers who may be too young to enjoy Pumpkin Path. Costumes are encouraged. (Note: Little Boo has fewer trick-or-treat stations than Pumpkin Path, so your little one’s little legs don’t go as far to get treats!)

Teal Pumpkin Project

For Little Boo and Pumpkin Path, the Zoo be taking part in the Teal Pumpkin Project™ and offer non-candy treats at select stations this year.  This movement was launched as a national campaign by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) in 2014 and raises awareness of food allergies and promotes inclusion of all trick-or-treaters throughout the Halloween season.  At select candy stations, we will offer non-food treats as an option so all can enjoy the event safely and be able to receive a treat at EVERY station.  These stations will be signified with a teal-painted pumpkin and signage.  For more information on the Teal Pumpkin Project™, visit their website:  http://www.foodallergy.org/teal-pumpkin-project
