We’re open year-round with plenty of animals to visit
Our polar bears, seals, wolves, Amur tigers, and snow leopards are quite comfortable outdoors in winter months, but many other animals live in warm, indoor exhibits that you can visit all year. You can visit hundreds of birds at the Aviary. Watch gorillas and orangutans in their indoor exhibits at the Kingdom of the Apes. See a variety of small primates at the indoor area of Primate Forest. Visit the elephants in the elephant barn at Tembo Trail. Check out dozens of reptiles in the Reptile House, including North America’s largest saltwater crocodile, Baru. Visit the Museum of Science to see amphibians, large insects and spiders, and our Great Barrier Reef aquarium. Also, don’t forget that you can visit Nature’s Neighborhood all year, with cool indoor activities and daily animal encounters. Concessions are available at Carnivore Cafe and the North Star Trading Post is open for deli service and gift/souvenir shopping.
We look forward to seeing you!
