The Toledo Zoo’s Nairobi Pavilion will be transformed into a magical environment where beautiful floral displays will help bring popular fairytales to life.  It’s an experience that the entire family can enjoy, and gardening enthusiasts will certainly be impressed by the variety of flowers on display. Our participating vendors will be on hand to share gardening tips and will offer various gardening items for purchase.

Princess Tea Party

$30 per person for Members and $35.00 for non-members

Do you know a special little princess? She will love this encounter with Princess Laurel that includes stories, crafts, and having fun while learning the five important steps to being a princess (Smile, Wave, Manners, Curtsy, and Posture). Each little princess gets to make her very own tiara then sit down to a royal tea party. Later, each princess will be crowned in a sweet coronation ceremony that ends with singing and dancing!
Tea party meal includes pink lemonade, iced tea, mini desserts, and fruit.
*All children must be accompanied by an adult*

Make your own Fairy Garden Terrarium

Join us in making your own fairy garden at the Toledo Zoo. Adults and kids will be provided with all of the needed materials and instruction to make and take home a small shelf-sized terrarium. Very little care is needed to keep this living, green garden indoors, so don’t miss this opportunity to create something fun and beautiful to add to your home.

• Visit Nature’s Neighborhood during Zoo hours to create your very own terrarium using recycled plastic bottles and take it home! (Free with Zoo admission)

• Along with the magic of Spring Alive, don’t forget to visit our enchanting walk-through butterfly exhibit where you will be surrounded by live, fluttering butterflies (free with Zoo admission). The butterfly exhibit is open during Zoo hours and is located at the Museum of Science in the Great Hall.
