New Orchid Show at Toledo Zoo

TOLEDO, Ohio – February is for flowers at Toledo Zoo! From February 7 – 23, become immersed in beautiful blooms throughout the new ProMedica Museum of Natural History and Aquarium during the Orchid Show: Stories and Species of the Victorian Era! Discover the vibrant colors, delightful scents and interesting backstories of rare and exotic orchids from around the world during this new seasonal event.
In addition to over 1,600 orchids, the three week show will also include a variety of classes, demonstrations and workshops. With topics ranging from how to care for orchids to how to photograph one and make your own terrarium, there truly is something for everyone.
There is also a fabulously floral fundraiser, complete with orchid inspired ﬁve-course dinner, specialty wine pairing and short live auction at Once Upon a Vine on Friday, February 7 and an adults-only romantic evening of hearts and flowers at Valentine’s Day Wine & Dine on Friday, February 14. Both events are separate fees and require advance reservations.
And the flower power does not stop when the Orchid Show ends… Take home an orchid of your very own at the end of show Plant Sale on February 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Museum’s Great Hall.
The Zoo’s new Orchid Show runs February 7 – 23 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily and is included with Zoo admission. For more information, please visit toledozoo.org/orchidshow
