TZ Bird Club
Northwest Ohio is a naturalist’s paradise with much to offer lovers of wildlife and nature. In 2023, the Toledo Zoo is excited to launch a new club for birding and wildlife enthusiasts – the TZ Bird Club! Members will receive exclusive opportunities to spend time with the Zoo’s expert birding guide, Jeremy, and northwest Ohio’s beautiful resident bird species. All funds raised will support the Toledo Zoo’s global bird conservation programs that work to save the Santa Cruz Ground Dove in the Solomon Islands, Negros Bleeding-Heart Dove in the Philippines and the Cheer Pheasant in Nepal. With this new club, the Toledo Zoo will provide a multitude of activities and information to get members outside to enjoy nature in Northwest Ohio and the U.S. While enjoying yourself, you will be helping save birds around the world!
Jeremy is a passionate birdwatcher with six years of guiding experience. As an Ohio native, he has a deep knowledge of the target species that can be found and where to look for them. Benefits include monthly bird walks, quarterly workshops, early access to unique day trips and much more! This group is for a wide range of bird lovers – those just getting started to those who have a robust knowledge and passion for birding.
Please bring your own binoculars, camera and sturdy, comfortable walking shoes. If you do not have your own binoculars, the Toledo Zoo can provide upon request. Walks and tours will occur rain or shine.
Membership includes:
- Monthly bird walks throughout Northwest Ohio at no cost
