Animal Tales

Ages 3-5

Enjoy charming animal stories, songs, games, crafts and animal visits. Classroom time will be followed by a Zoo Adventure! Each month has a theme with three classes. These adult/child classes are offered Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. Please meet at the front of the Education Building. These classes are designed for kids ages 3-5.

Price per child for 3 week series:

DIY Conservation Classes

Add an educational experience to your fall zoo visit! We’re offering monthly workshops for adults on a variety of topics. Each class will involve meeting animals up close, touring an exhibit with a knowledgeable guide and exploring a sustainability topic with take-home supplies for an eco-friendly lifestyle! Recommended for adults only.

Backyard Habitats
Sat., Oct. 8 from 1:30 – 3 p.m.

Get creative and make an animal friendly home to put out in your backyard. Meet native animals up close and learn more about local habitats.

Rainforest Friends
Sat., Nov. 5 from 1:30 – 3 p.m.
Come have coffee or tea while learning about how our choices can help the rainforest. Meet some rainforest animals up close and tour rainforest exhibits.

Family Classes

Kick off the Fall with Family Fun during Harvest Fest. Educational family classes include hands-on activities and animal meet and greets. Classes recommended for ages 5 and older. Children under age 12 must have an adult participating with them.
