Experience the Must Do Zoo

Garden Tour Series

Join the Zoo's horticulturists for our Garden Tour Series. Each tour is guided by a Zoo horticulture staff member who will discuss different gardening topics, including: growing tips, best watering practices and much more. Whether you are a seasoned green thumb or gardening greenhorn, there will be something to learn and apply to at-home gardening projects.

Garden Workshop Series

Join us for a hands-on specialty themed take-home workshop! During each event, a Zoo horticulturist will advise on creation and maintenance of your unique item. Workshops include all necessary materials, a light brunch and specialty (alcoholic and non) drinks.

Carson Family Education Center at the Zoo
(Includes admission to the zoo and complimentary parking in the Anthony Wayne Trail lot.)It's time for another round of botany and bubbly at our Take-home Succulent Planter Workshop! Succulents are a low maintenance plant that store water in their leaves..meaning less remembering to water them. Succulent planters make beautiful centerpieces, brighten window sills during the dull winter months and can then be moved to grace the patio in the summer. Our horticulture staff will provide all the materials (plants, soil, decorative items, etc.) and guidance needed to create a professional yet personalized planter. To fuel your creativity, a light brunch of pastries, mimosas, coffee and more will be served! No experience is necessary, just bring your friends and imagination and leave with your own easy-to-care-for succulent planter!

Limited to 30 guests. Light refreshments, alcoholic and non, will be provided.
Due to the limited seating and supplies, no rainchecks or refunds.
