Join the Toledo Zoo in celebrating Mother Earth and exemplifying our mission of being advocates for wildlife and conserving the natural world during Party for the Planet!
Drop off your recyclable goods at the Zoo – including hard-to-recycle items, between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Anthony Wayne Trail parking lot. Admission/parking charges do not apply to this special recycling project.
The Zoo is a perfect place to spend a great "green" day with your family! Deliver your recyclable items and learn about environmentally-friendly initiatives through conservation talks, animal demonstrations and activities across the Zoo.
Also, the NW Ohio Damage Prevention Council is partnering with OHIO811 and Columbia Gas of Ohio for this year’s event. The council will donate and plant a tree to help us kick-off and celebrate Earth Day. Check out OHIO811’s interactive educational trailer and learn about the utility lines located underground, in your own backyard. Meet their mascots and pick up an activity sheet and crayons for the kids to take home as a reminder for parents to “Contact OHIO811 Before You Dig!”
Check back soon for the animal demo schedule.
